1st Day_02/09/2013

     Today I saw my correspondant, Coline Mouterde, for the first time. I met her family and her dog, and after talking a little bit with them, I realised that French people are more polite than Spanish. Her mum was trying to talk in English with me, but it was very hard for her, so I decided to start talking in French, but I think my pronuntiation is a bit strange, because she rarelly understood me. Her house is really nice, and my room, that is actually Coline's room, is much more bigger than my room in Spain. There is a big bed, and six computers!! Coline's dog, whose name is Malo, loves me. She was very surprised, because Malo usually doesn't like strangers, but he looooves me. He smells my clothes and my shoes, and he wants to play with me all the time :) Her brother is also really nice, and her girlfriend too. They seem to have a long realtionship, and I personally think that they make a beautiful couple. Today, during dinner, Malo decided to pee on the kitchen floor. It was really weird, because Coline's brother was shouting at the poor dog while I was laughing out loud!!
     
     So, as a conclusion, I just have to say that this French family is very nice and entertaining, and I think i'm going to spend a good time here :)

     Today I woke up at seven o’clock in the morning to meet Óscar and his parents because they were going to drive us to the airport. We were the first ones, my mum was very happy and me too. Soon everyone was there and we all were very excited.

     
     We left our family to fly to Lyon and meet our French exchange. The flight was pretty good, there was not any problem, and it was fantastic.

     When we arrived at the French airport, we met our new friends. My exchange student is Léa, who is very kind and very nice to me. I’m really happy with her and her family.They are all very nice and they always try to make me feel at home.

     
     When Léa, her mum and I left the airport, we went to their house. I was very nervous, because I didn’t have any idea about how it all would be.

     Her house is so beautiful, she lives in a kind of village very close to Lyon. It is a very rural neighborhood and I really like it! This evening we were watching some movies like "Harry Potter" and "Le diable s’habille de Prada". We couldn’t meet the other students, because it was snowing very hard and there was not any public transport, but all in all I enjoyed the evening with Léa. Finally, we both cooked some cookies for the whole family and we had dinner (des pâtes au noir de seiche) at 8 o’clock (very early for me). At half past ten, we went to sleep because I was very tired, but at the same time very happy because it was my first night in France.

     Oops! I forgot to say something...I also gave them some presents that I brought from Spain and they were very thankful.

     A las 8:15 de la mañana teníamos que estar en el aeropuerto. Laila y yo (me quedé en su casa a dormir) llegamos a y 20 máso menos. El vuelo creo que duró una hora y media larga y al llegar estaba agotada del madrugón y porque no había dormido nada en el vuelo. Nada más llegar, Léa, su padre y yo fuimos en coche hasta su pueblo que se llamaba "Ars". Allí llegamos y estaban esperándonos su madre y su sobrina y comimos. De primero habia una ensalada muy amarga con pan tostado y queso calentito (eso último estaba delicioso) y ternera con verduras. De postre había quesos varios pero yo comí compota de manzana. Entre ellos hablaban fracés aunque si contaban una historia muy larga me la resumían en inglés- Con ella hablo inglés y de vez en cuando digo alguna frase en francés. Por lo general, no me cuesta mucho entenderlos excepto al padre, que no le entiendo casi nada o cuando hablan muy bajito entre ellos... Pero bueno, de momento todo c'est bien :)- Ahora estoy sola en mi habitación (tengo una cama doble para mí sola) esperando a que Léa se duche para ir luego con sus amigos del pueblo. Me ha dicho antes que allí mo me cuhe no se muy bien por qué. Aquí no tengo Wi-fi asi que espero que mis padres no estén preocupados...

     Al final, lo de la ducha era que no me duchara concretamente en una si no que me duchara en otra (por cierto, el retrete y el resto del baño están en distintas habitaciones) y no fuimos con muchos amigos suyos sino a casa de una que se llamaba Léonie. Hicimos un montón de crêpes y dimos una vuelta por el pueblo mientras neveba. Luego nos vinimos las tres a dormir a nuestra casa y cenamos crema de calabaza (que aquí lo llaman soupe y a los niños se les dice que han de tomarla si quieren crecer) y lasaña. Las tres dormimos en mi habitación. Léa y yo en la cama y Léonie en un colchón en el suelo.

     I arrived at Lyon around 1 p.m. and Lina, my penfriend and her sister were waiting for me. After having a rest at their house, we went all together to the center of Lyon and we ate some crepes with hot chocolate. We came back home at 8 p.m and I had dinner with my exchange family. I saw "The Voice program" on TV and then we went to sleep.
